WEST FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) โ West Fargo has officially moved into its new City Hall location.
The city held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the move. The new city hall consolidates city offices to the new location on 6th Street E. The city signed three 5-year leases on the property which WEX used to occupy.
After the ribbon cutting, people were invited to take a tour of the new facility.
West Fargo Mayor Bernie Dardis says consolidating the departments into one building will help both staff and residents.
โWhen you have departments that closely interact during the business day that are right next door to one another, thereโs great efficiencies there,โ Dardis said. โAnd itโs efficient for not only for our staff, but for the citizens. That when they come in, they need to talk to engineering and after they get done with engineering they need to talk to another one of the departments, itโs just down the hallway.โ
The new city hall also offers a new branch of the West Fargo Public Library.
