MANKATO, Minn. – The $887 million infrastructure plan proposed by Gov. Tim Walz Thursday would fund projects to protect drinking water, keep communities safe, and support housing development.
The governor’s bonding bill would also invest in a new Minnesota State Patrol headquarters and provide $10 million for Rapidan Dam recovery efforts.
More than $144 million would go to water and transportation infrastructure, $239 million to public safety projects, $ 44 million to housing and updating the Minneapolis Veterans Home, and $395 million to maintain and renovate state facilities, including Minnesota State and U of M buildings.
