VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO) – No one was hurt, but about a half-dozen calves died when a semi pulling a cattle trailer went off Interstate 94 and tipped about 15 miles west of Valley City around 4 a.m. Friday.
The Highway Patrol says there were 77 head of cattle in the trailer. The semi driver from Wisconsin was cited for care required.
Eastbound I-94 was reduced to one lane for about six hours while crews cleaned up the scene.
As of this Friday, one black calf was missing. Anyone who finds it should contact Barnes County Dispatch at (71) 845-8181 or the Stockman’s Association.
