ST. PAUL, Minn. – Minnesotans are experiencing higher levels of isolation and loneliness than ever before. This is the key finding from a recent survey titled “Minds of Minnesotans,” conducted by the APM Research Lab between July and November.
The survey included responses from over 3,000 Minnesotans regarding their feelings of loneliness, isolation, and lack of companionship. Approximately 45% of participants reported feeling isolated from others sometimes or often. Additionally, 48% indicated that they frequently feel left out and struggle to find companionship.
The age group most affected by these feelings of isolation is those between 18 and 27 years old.
