ST. PAUL, Minn. (KFGO) – An inmate at Minnesota’s Stillwater state prison and a former corrections officer have been sentenced for their roles in a methamphetamine distribution case.
The US Attorney’s Office says 37-year-old Axel Kramer was sentenced to 15 years in prison followed by 10 years of supervised release. The sentence adds to the 24 years he’s already serving for second-degree murder.
Faith Gratz, 26, has been sentenced to more than 2 years in prison followed by probation.
Kramer and another inmate worked with drug sources outside the prison to arrange meet-up times and locations where Gratz would pick up the drugs.
Gratz used her position as a guard to smuggle the drugs inside Stillwater and provide drugs to Kramer.
