PRINCETON, Minn. – Ruff Start Rescue in Princeton, Minnesota is looking for forever homes for 24 cats and dogs saved from flooded shelters in Tennessee and North Carolina.
Executive director Azure Davis says they are currently in foster homes in Minnesota, saved from the flooding from this hurricane and now they’re in home settings.
She says, “It’s really a lot of large breed dogs and that’s what they need help with and that’s what we’re trying to place. It has been harder to find fosters for large breed dogs. So, we only took seven and there’s a lot more that need help.”
Davis says some of the pets had been in a shelter for a long time. She says Ruff Start volunteers will be going back to rescue more displaced pets.
There’s more information on their website ruffstartrescue.org.
