AYR, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating a crash between a semi hauling gravel and a train. It happened Saturday morning just northwest of Ayr.
The Highway Patrol says a 36-year-old man driving the semi was headed east on Cass County 4 and did not see the crossing arms. Visibility was near-zero due to dense fog. The semi hit a railcar in the middle of the train and was dragged along for a short distance.
The man had minor injuries and was taken to a Fargo hospital.
