FARGO (KFGO) – A south-Fargo twin home was severely damaged by fire Sunday.
Fargo Fire responded to 1738 50th St S just after 4:30 p.m. The caller reported that curtains in a basement bedroom were on fire. Thick, black smoke was visible throughout the metro.
Crews arrived, and found flames coming from a basement window. The home’s vinyl siding caught fire, and the flames quickly spread into the attic of both units.
The unit where the fire started has significant fire and smoke damage throughout. The adjoined unit has serious smoke damage, and the attic was heavily damaged by fire. The siding on the home next door melted from the heat.
No one was injured. No damage estimates are yet available.
