WEST FARGO (KFGO) – The Red River Valley Fair is making changes for next year’s format after what leaders called a financial disaster this year.
CEO Cody Cashman said there were several factors for the net loss this summer, including operational costs and a Blake Shelton concert that cost over $1 million, but only sold 5,500 tickets.
Earlier this month, the Red River Valley Fair asked for public input through a survey and used the feedback to make the changes. Among the changes in 2025 are a return to a 10-consecutive-day fair format, lower admission, return of the mega pass for carnival rides, and tiered concert pricing, including a Super Concert Pass.
“We’ve listened to the voices of our attendees and the wider community, and we’re excited to bring back the traditional 10-day fair,” Cashman said. “Our goal is to be a place where families invest in lifelong memories, and these changes are designed to make that experience even more accessible.”
The 2025 Red River Valley Fair is July 4-13.
