GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KFGO KVRR) – Dozens of Red Lobster locations across the country have suddenly closed, including the Grand Forks restaurant.
A bartender said the corporate decision came Monday morning with no warning. She says the Grand Forks location had just hired a new general manager and the sudden closure was a shock.
The Fargo and Bismarck locations remain open. There are no closures listed for Red Lobster in Minnesota or South Dakota.
Around 80 locations in 27 states are listed as “temporarily closed” on the company’s website. There are more than 700 locations worldwide.
The chain is in the process of seeking a buyer to avoid bankruptcy.
