WEST FARGO (KFGO) – The West Fargo City Commission voted unanimously to approve additional funding as the plan moves forward to relocate city staff offices to the former WEX building on 6th Street East, south of I-94.
City Administrator Dustin Scott sought an additional $325,000 to a $500,000 budget “fit-up” that was already approved which will replace older technology in the new location, expected to be ready in June.
Scott said the system at the current location is outdated and very challenging for the IT staff to operate and maintain and a major issue or complete failure at some point.
The current city commission chambers will also be relocated to the WEX campus. That move will provide more space for the current crowded police headquarters.
The five-year lease will cost about $725,000 annually.
