MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KFGO/MNN) – Trucks are still the best-selling vehicles in Minnesota by a wide margin. Scott Lambert of the Minnesota Auto Dealers Association says it’s not even close.
“We sell trucks at a rate of about 90 percent,” Lambert says. “It includes pickup trucks, and SUVs, and some of the crossovers and minivans are included, they’re built on truck beds. So we consider them trucks.”
A total of 188,000 vehicles were sold in Minnesota last year and just over 11% were cars. Lambert says truck sales are about 56% of the market nationwide
