FARGO (KFGO) โ A Fargo man is in jail following a SWAT raid Saturday morning
Fargo Police say Travis Holt, 39, was arrested just before 7 a.m. at his apartment in the 2600 block of 8th St. N.
Police were called to a local hospital Friday evening for a report of a patient that had been sexually assaulted at their apartment.
The victim identified holt as the perpetrator, and said they live at the same apartment complex. Police attempted to talk to Holt, but he refused to cooperate.
Police decided to use a SWAT team due to Holtโs lengthy criminal history. KFGO News found that Holt has a long, violent criminal history, including multiple assault cases, terrorizing, and gun charges. Holt was part of an officer-involved shooting in 2019 near Larimore, N.D. when he pointed a gun at officers that were checking out his car when it was parked along Highway 2.
The SWAT team used flash-bang rounds, tear gas, and less-than-lethal rounds during their raid Saturday, trying to get Holt to come out of his apartment.
Holt eventually came out after about an hour.
He was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Felony Trespassing, Forced Gross Sexual Imposition, and Kidnapping.
