VALLEY CITY, N.D. (KFGO) – The state patrol has released the name of a Valley City woman who was hit by an SUV while walking on a sidewalk in Valley City Sunday afternoon.
83-year-old Joann Nathan suffered serious injuries. She was first taken to Mercy Hospital in Valley City and then flown to Fargo by Sanford AirMed.
The driver of the SUV was 85-year-old Ralph Thompson of Page, North Dakota. Thompson was in a parking lot when he backed up, hitting Nathan. Two other vehicles were also struck along with an apartment building.
The patrol is continuing its investigation.
