MINNEAPOLIS – Three people were injured in a shooting in south Minneapolis overnight Saturday.
The shooting happened on the 2900 block of Lyndale Avenue South near Casablanca Lounge and Restaurant.
Two women in their 20s were shot and are expected to survive, while a man in his 20s suffered a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound, police said. They were found in the parking lot behind the restaurant.
This isn’t the first shooting in the popular nightlife area near Lyndale Avenue and Lake Street. In September, a man was shot in the leg while walking along Lyndale near Lake Street.
The city’s shot-detection system indicated there were at least seven reports of shots fired near the intersection in 2023.
