MANDAN, N.D. (KFGO) – A 39-year-old Cannon Ball man crossing a street in Mandan suffered minor injuries when he was hit by a Morton County Sheriff’s Office squad vehicle last night.
It happened just after 6:30 p.m. at a crosswalk on the south side of town.
According to the Highway Patrol, deputy Christopher Tracy was driving south through the intersection on a green light when it happened.
The man, Joseph Conica, was wearing dark clothing and Tracy did not see him until it was too late. Conica was taken to the hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
