BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO) – The child rape allegations against former state senator Ray Holmberg of Grand Forks found their way to a hearing at the Capitol in Bismarck.
The legislative management committee was discussing whether the state will intervene in a lawsuit over the state’s most recent redistricting plan and Native American voting rights.
Sen. Tim Mathern of Fargo questioned how much the case may cost the state.
Republican Rep. Jerry Klein of Fessenden was overheard on the microphone of another lawmaker saying, “two trips to Prague.”
Holmberg, also a Republican, is facing federal charges, accused of traveling to Prague to have sex with minors.
KFGO News has reached out to Klein to ask if he has any additional comments.
