WEST FARGO (KFGO) – The Cargill Oilseed Processing plant, the largest water user in West Fargo has agreed to repay the city for under-billed water and sewer charges.
Mayor Bernie Dardis said he’s had talks with Cargill and after further discussion, has agreed to pay the remaining amount of $679,401 to the city of West Fargo. Dardis says this will resolve the entire balance of nearly $1.2 million for the under-billed water usage.
According to the city, part of the cause of the under-billing may have been the result of inaccurate utility meters
Dardis told the city commission the remaining bill will be issued by the city on July 10.
