FARGO (KFGO) – Police have released the name of the man who was the subject of a search in south Fargo Wednesday night which prompted a shelter-in-place advisory for residents in the Carl Ben Eielson neighborhood.
Fargo officers and members of the Metro Street Crimes Unit were looking 25-year-old Isiah Hopkins. He was wanted by the Minnesota Department of Corrections for a parole violation.
Hopkins was previously involved in two incidents involving fleeing Moorhead Police, including one on July 4, 2021, after which an officer was put on administrative leave for firing his service weapon while he was pursuing Hopkins.
Police say they believe Hopkins has left the metro area.
