BISMARCK, N.D. (KFGO Prairie Public Radio) – Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Bismarck Fri. morning for an undisclosed medical condition.
Sources say an ambulance was called to Stenehjem’s residence shortly before 8:30. His brother, Al, said paramedics performed CPR. He said Stenehjem is “responsive.”
Stenehjem had announced in December he would not seek another four-year term as attorney general. He was first elected to that position in 2000, after serving in the Legislature since being elected to the North Dakota House in 1976. He was elected to the state Senate in 1980.
Stenehjem is 68.
