NEW BRIGHTON, Minn. – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a head-on crash involving a vehicle and school bus in New Brighton.
The bus was carrying 21 Mounds View High School students when the collision happened Friday afternoon. Police said the driver of the other vehicle had to be extricated and was taken to the hospital. Officers say one student was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The other students were brought to an office building to escape the cold. Mounds View school officials said in a statement, “we understand that this was likely a very frightening incident for students, and we regret that it happened.”
