FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – The snow, high winds, and bitter cold has made for a bad recipe.
Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner says it’s times like this that a plow can come in handy. Finding difficulty responding to certain calls during winter storms, the sheriff’s office purchased specialized equipment for a pickup several years ago. The sheriff was using it Wednesday during the worst of the blizzard conditions.
He said typically, he floats around the county and when deputies need a snowplow to get to a rural area, he’s got the plow to do that.
Sheriff Jahner received the funding for a V-plow snow blade and additional equipment for one of his department’s pickups following a major 2019 blizzard that delayed deputies’ response to several serious safety calls due to blocked roads.
