GOLDEN VALLEY, MN. – The Minnesota State Patrol is reminding drivers to pack a winter survival kit when hitting the road in subzero temperatures.
Lieutenant Gordon Shank says it should include extra blankets, sweatshirts, flashlights, water, food that won’t spoil, and a cell phone charger. Shank says if you get stranded use your hazards and try to make your vehicle clearly visible and call 9-1-1.
This cold snap is expected to last through next week.
