This is your GO TO hist list for a guaranteed impressive Valentine’s Day dinner. The best atmosphere, the best food, the best service, and guys… a 100% guarantee way to get in good with your sweetheart.
Know this. I am in no way affiliated with any of these establishments other than eating there myself. They’re not clients of ours here at the station and I get nothing other than trying to give y’all a heads up in case you’re scrambling for what to do or where to go when that special night hits.
5. USHER’S HOUSE
This casual fine-dining restaurant has plate-glass windows that overlook one of the busiest intersections in town at Eighth Street and Main Avenue in Moorhead.
You can order almost anything meaning your sweetheart’s not going to have that “I don’t like anything on the menu” look. The main focus at Usher’s is steak, seafood, and cocktails.
This restaurant holds 78 customers at a time so you should be able to lock a table up if you don’t wait too long.
4. DOOLITTLES WOODFIRE GRILL
Reader’s Choice voted this Best Dinner Restaurant, Best Lunch Restaurant, & Best Beer, Wine, and Bar.

3. MAXWELLS RESTAURANT & BAR
When I first got to Fargo my boss brought me to Maxwells. I’ve been sold ever since. This small, intimate, upscale restaurant sits on 9th street. They don’t open until 4 p.m. so lunch is a No Go here but dinner’s AWESOME!
Maxwells has a special that sounds very cool and very romantic. Here’s what it says on their website…
“Be our Valentine and join us for a dinner that’s going to be divine. Executive Chef, Mike Wald, has crafted a special a-la-carte Valentine’s Day for you to indulge in on this special day”
You better lock up a seat fast here because there’s not much room and there’s no way this place won’t be completely booked on Valentine’s Day if they’re not already. You can get a reservation at 701-277-9463.
2. RUSTICA EATERY & TAVERN

The Eatery features a rustic ambiance with exposed brick creating a warm, comfortable dining experience. Executive Chef Micah Leitel is dedicated to offering high quality, seasonally focused products and executes the diverse menu based on traditional American fare with European influences.
