FARGO, N.D. (KFGO) – Vince Lindstrom has died after a lengthy battle with cancer. His wife Dorothy posted on Facebook that Vince died peacefully in his “beloved recliner early this morning.” He was often called a bigger than life character from Fargo’s past. Well known, he was a former Fargo Convention and Visitors Bureau executive director. Vince first came to Fargo as Cultural Director for Fargo Public Schools.
He was a Lake Park, Minnesota native, and a Concordia College graduate who has traveled the world. He also worked in the Quad Cities, Las Vegas and in the White House for President Carter as part of the Department of Education and the National Endowment for the Arts. He resided in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
