What an emotional night last night at the CMT Artists of the Year ceremony. Kane Brown was one of the artists being honored and many didn’t think he would show after losing his drummer in a tragic accident. Not only did he make an appearance but he also tearfully dedicated his award to Kenny Dixon. See his acceptance speech below….

That wasn’t the only emotional part of the evening. Chris Young played his song “Drowning” for Kane in honor of his friend and Thomas Rhett used his speech to pray for Kane and for Kenny’s family. It was a really beautiful moment that just made me love Thomas even more.
