HANKINSON, ND (KFGO) – The hardware store in Hankinson will rebuild after it was lost to fire late last month.
Owner Jeremy Post says he’s still working with his insurance company on details. He and his wife, Jill, plan to rebuild at another location they own in Hankinson.
The couple has owned Post’s Hardware for nearly 10 years. The building and all of its inventory were declared a total loss.
Post says a deputy state fire marshal determined that the fire was caused by a cigarette. It started in the back of the building.
Nearly a dozen apartment tenants were displaced.
