FARGO (KFGO) – Fargo police say a caller has used the department’s non-emergency phone number in an attempt to trick someone into sending them money.
A detective received a spoof call from 235-4493. The caller said the person could get into trouble if he didn’t send money using a Google play card.
Police say if it were actually a call from the department, caller ID would likely show that the incoming call is “restricted.”
