Jesse Thorstad is this week’s Hometown Hero! Here’s Jesse’s nomination:
“Jesse is really making a difference in this world. He is taking his job of ‘being the hands and
feet’ very seriously. First, he is a
very knowledgeable and helpful technology representative for our school district. But far more importantly than that, Jesse finds many ways to serve
and help others. Jesse founded our
“Fergus Falls Mowing Club” which helps others with their lawn care
needs when hard times fall on them and they just need some assistance. Jesse is also heavily involved with Special
Olympics in Fergus Falls. He coaches, promotes,
fundraises, and does anything he can think of to aide our Special Olympic
athletes. This involves polar plunges to
raise money and delivering food around town in a giant chicken costume to those
willing to donate to this amazing cause.
He’s also always game to help anybody in need for various reasons, and
helps people more than we even know.
With the support of his wonderful wife, he is making a positive impact
on our community… all while expecting nothing in return. Jesse Thorstad epitomizes a Hometown Hero.”
