Amy said, “There are no words to explain how amazing Mrs West is! But I will try and do my best. She is a special ed teacher in her 2nd year in a DCD room at S.G. Reinertsen Elementary in Moorhead. She has the biggest heart for these kids. She finds ways to incorporate every day life during their school day. Mrs West makes sure each child feels safe, loved and cared for each and every day. She spends hours upon hours of her time above her school time to make sure each child has what they need. Each week she changes out their work boxes. Mrs West has even had a special field trip planned each year for our students to enjoy as some of the field trips planned for the rest of the school may not necessarily be engaging for our students as they would be for others. She always has a way of making her paras in her classroom feel appreciated. She has a heart of gold! With the $100 I know she will make it go a long way in her classroom.
