Student gets 65 days in jail for campus threats in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) -- A former University of Jamestown student has been sentenced to serve about two months in jail for threats he made on campus.

Nineteen-year-old Robert Flores of Southgate, California, was accused last November of threatening to kill three students and drink their blood as part of a satanic ritual. The threats that his father later said were a joke led to a half-hour lockdown of the campus while authorities searched for Flores.

A jury in April convicted Flores of felony terrorizing. He could have faced up to five years in prison when he was sentenced on Tuesday. Judge Thomas Merrick sentenced him to serve 65 days behind bars.

Flores is no longer enrolled at the university.
