FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- Fargo firefighters had to get a patient from Prairie St. John's out of the Red River Wednesday night. The girl was not in distress, but wouldn't come to shore.
Staff at Prairie called police to report the girl had jumped the fence and was swimming in the river.
Firefighters launched a boat and two firefighters wearing flotation suits waded out to the girl and brought her to shore. She was then taken back to Prairie.
