Plans for burned historic church in West Fargo in limbo

West Fargo (KFGO-AM) - The cause of a fire that heavily damaged the iconic church at Bonanzaville in West Fargo remains under investigation.

John Monilaws, Chairman of the Bonanza Pioneer Village Board of Directors says everything is in limbo. He's waiting on findings by the state fire marshal's office and a full damage assessment from the insurance carrier to deterimine if the church, built in 1896 can be saved.

Monilaws says people in the Horace area who donated St. Johns Lutheran Chuch are proud of it. He says, "We'll do everything we can to keep it right where it's supposed to be"

The fire was reported early saturday morning.
