JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) -- Jamestown police have arrested a man suspected in three holdups in the city.
Police Chief Scott Edinger says the man was arrested after a convenience store clerk foiled a robbery attempt Tuesday night by confronting the suspect about whether he actually had a weapon. Edinger says the man did not and fled the scene but was later arrested based on a description provided by the clerk.
Edinger says the 55-year-old man also is a suspect in robberies of a convenience store last Dec. 15 and a car wash on Jan. 9. Formal charges are pending.
