MENTOR, Minn. (KFGO AM) -- A settlement has been reached with farmers who lost millions when a seed company suddenly shut down.
A judge settled 57 cash claims worth $685,000 against Anderson Seed Company of Mentor, Minnesota.
Claims totaling more than $3 million were filed by the PSC.
Anderson processed sunflowers and suddenly closed in 2012 without paying farmers for their seed.
Farmers across Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota were affected.
A Winnipeg based company bought some of the assets of Anderson Seed.
