USA picks up another medal

SOCHI, RUSSIA (AP)--THE U.S. HAS ANOTHER BRONZE MEDAL AT THE WINTER OLYMPICS IN RUSSIA. RENO'S JULIA MANCUSO FINISHED THIRD IN THE WOMEN'S SUPER-COMBINED FOR HER FOURTH CAREER OLYMPIC MEDAL. AFTER THE DOWNHILL PORTION OF THE EVENT MANCUSO STOOD IN FIRST WITH THE FASTEST TIME. NO OTHER AMERICAN WOMAN HAS WON MORE THAN TWO. MANCUSO WON A GOLD IN THE GIANT SLALOM IN THE 2006 GAMES IN ITALY AS WELL AS SILVERS IN THE DOWNHILL AND SUPER-COMBINED FOUR YEARS AGO IN VANCOUVER. THE WINNER OF THE RACE WAS GERMANY'S MARIA HOEFL-RIESCH, WHO HAS NOW WON BACK TO BACK GOLD IN THE EVENT. THE BRONZE BY MANCUSO GIVES TEAM U.S.A FIVE MEDALS IN SOCHI (SOH'-CHEE), TWO GOLD AND THREE BRONZE.
