DETROIT LAKES (KFGO-AM) -- A Bemidji man has been found not guilty by reason of mental illness in an incident in Becker County in March in which shots were fired.
Two independent psychologists concluded that Ty Andree, 24, was mentally ill suffering from delusions and hallucinations.
Andree led police on a chase after taking wine from a rural Detroit Lakes liquor store. He then stole a squad car after threatening two deputies with a shotgun. The deputies fired at the car as it drove off, but didn’t hit Andree. He was later arrested.
