FARGO (KFGO-AM) -- A moderate-risk sex offender who hadn't kept in contact with Fargo Police as required is facing terrorizing and theft charges.
Ellric Giroux, 35, was arrested over the weekend after police say he was confronted about shoplifting by a loss prevention officer at a so. Fargo grocery store. Lt. Joel Vettel says Giroux pulled a knife on the employee. Responding officers arrested him at taser-point.
Vettel says Giroux also had outstanding warrants from Cass, Richland, Clay counties and North Dakota Parole and Probation.
He was convicted of a sex crime against a 15 year-old girl in Wahpeton in 1998.
