MINOT (KFGO-AM) -- Minot State University's Athletic Director is speaking out about Todd Hoffner's decision to resign as head football coach to return to Minnesota State University-Mankato after an arbitrator ruled he could have his job back.
Rick Hedberg says it's definitely a unique story. He says Minot State has decided to move on, but he feels bad for the football players because they went through a coaching change in January and were just getting comfortable with Hoffner. Hedberg says Hoffner sent him an e-mail minutes before he announced his plans to return to Mankato. He says he wishes it would've been done differently.
Hoffner had faced child pornography charges after pictures of his children were discovered on his work-issued phone. The criminal charges were later dropped. Hedberg was a guest on KFGO News and Views.
