WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) -- An officer who was convicted of stealing items from the police department evidence locker in Tempe, Ariz., now faces a theft charge in North Dakota for allegedly stealing from a security company for which he worked.
Elliot Campbell is accused of stealing more than $14,000 from Allguard Security. He faces a felony charge that carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
Campbell resigned from the force in Tempe in 2011 after serving 11 years. He was sentenced that year to two years of probation. Allguard Security hired him about a year ago.
Court documents don't list an attorney for Campbell. A telephone listing could not be found for him in Williston or in Sidney, Mont., which court documents list as his home.
