DILWORTH, Minn (KFGO AM) -- After months of turmoil, Dilworth's police chief has resigned.
The city council accepted Josh Ebert's resignation and voted to approve the separation agreement which was drawn up by legal counsel.
Last December, a group of officers declared "no confidence" in Ebert.
Further investigation found no evidence of misconduct.
Ebert, who took over as chief in March 2012, had been on a probationary hiring period that was recently extended.
His resignation is effective immediately.
He'll be paid his salary through the end of the year.
