Once again a tip from the public has led to the arrest of a suspected car prowler.
Fargo police responded to a call from a man who spotted someone going through his car Tuesday morning in the 1000 block of 1st Avenue North.
Officers found a man crouched between two vehicles rummaging through a number of items taken from one of the cars that had been left unlocked. The man fled on foot, was caught but scuffled with police and managed to escape but was collared after a brief chase.
19-year old Arin Ruiz faces charges of unlawful entry of a vehicle and preventing arrest. He has no permanent address.
It is the seventh arrest made by fargo police in the past month as a result of citizen tips.
