MOORHEAD, Minn (KFGO AM) -- The numbers are in, and law enforcement officers in Clay County wrote a lot of tickets to people who weren't using their seat belts--108 in all.
Those are the results of the latest "Click-It-or-Ticket" campaign in the county.
It stretched over a two-week period, between October 4th and the 19th.
Fines for not wearing a seat-belt, begin at $25, but can go to more than $100.
As part of this campaign, officers handed out nearly 100-other traffic tickets for violations like speeding, lack of a valid drivers license and so on.
Minnesota has a "primary" seat belt law.
That means if an officer sees you not wearing a seat-belt---you can be pulled over---just for that.
