Firefighters are battling a fire in an historic home in south Fargo.
The fire is at 1421 South 42nd Avenue and it was reported shortly after 5:30 this morning.
The home owner, Don Kinzler, tells KFGO News he and his wife awoke to the smell of smoke.
They went to the attic of the three story home, found the fire, shut off the power and got out.
Kinzler says the 1890 vintage home was moved to south Fargo, from Fergus Falls more than 20 years ago.
