FARGO, ND (KFGO AM) -- City engineers are laying out preliminary plans for what will be one of the largest road reconstruction projects in Fargo next season.
Major improvements are set for 19th avenue north between 10th street and 18th street.
It includes new concrete pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer and watermain replacement, sidewalks, new storm closure gates, street lights and traffic signal improvements.
The work also includes a stretch of median and fencing and a pedestrian crosswalk signal between the Fargodome and Burger King, correcting what traffic engineer Jeremy Gorden says is a dangerous crossing: Estimated cost of the project is between $4.5 and $5 million that will start in April.
Public information meetings will be held next Tuesday at the Fargodome for property and business owners along and near the work.
