Fargo (KFGO AM) The Fargo Airsho Committee is hoping to land the Air Force Thunderbirds or the Navy Blue Angels for another air show in 2014 or 2015 now that the teams have been given the go-ahead to fly again. The precision teams suspended performances this year after being grounded by sequestration cuts that led to cancellation of a number of air shows, including the Fargo Airsho.
Committee spokesman Mike Haugen both teams will announce their schedules at a conference in Las Vegas in early December.
Even with a pared down schedule due to budget restraints, Haugen is hoping Fargo has an edge. He says in the past, the Blue Angels have rated Fargo as the best air show they have attended.
Haugen says the Thunderbirds schedule out one year. the Blue Angels schedule two years in advance.
