MOORHEAD (KFGO-AM) - A sign of optimism from the chairman of the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Air National Guard Support Group.
Craig Whitney told Clay County commissioners that a nine-member presidential panel has been examining military issues over the past several months. Whitney says when the panel's findings are released, it could be helpful in re-establishing a manned flying mission for the Fargo-based 119th Wing.
Whitney also told commissioners that the government shutdown isn't slowing the group's lobbying efforts. The 119th Wing's manned flying mission officially ended in August.
