FARGO, ND (KFGO AM) -- A major storm system will impact the Dakotas and Minnesota today and tomorrow.
North winds will increase today, with gusts to 45 mph at times.
KFGO Chief Forecaster Terry Spies says rain will move in from the southwest today and may become heavy at times tonight into Saturday morning.
One to two inches of rain is expected.
For those travelling to the west into South Dakota and south central North Dakota, snow is also possible.
Any changes in the expected storm track could cause the heaviest rain band to shift to the north or south.
Some stronger thunderstorms are also possible today in west central Minnesota into portions of southeast North Dakota.
