10 years later, a close friend and co-worker of Dru Sjodin is recalling that difficult time.
The University of North Dakota student was kidnapped and murdered by sex offender Alfonso Rodriguez. She disappeared on Nov. 22, 2003 from the parking of Columbia Mall in Grand Forks. Her body was found months later near Crookston, Minnesota. Beth Borgen-Wells of Fargo says she was in the background and helped support Sjodin's family during the countless searches.
Borgen-Wells says she remains close to many of Dru's friends and stays in contact with her mother, Linda Walker. Borgen-Wells was a guest on KFGO'S "Jack-n-Sandy" Show.
