Moorhead (KFGO-AM) The Moorhead Business Association, formed three years ago to promote the city as a good place to do business has received a big financial boost.
Wednesday, The Greater Moorhead Development Corporation, inactive for years, presented the MBA with its financial assets, a check for nearly $264,000.
Les Stenerson, president of the association representing business owners and operators, says Moorhead lost some of its identity when the local chambers merged. He says "that's not bad, just different and what we're trying to do now is get our business identity back." Moorhead's Business Development and Retention Services manager says there's a noticible change. Matt Maslowski says a half dozen lots in the city's new industrial park have sold in recent months for new and expanding busineses and he says there is interest from developers and investors in the redevelopment of downtown Moorhead.
